Victor Oppenheimer, Founder, manages daily operations and is our in-house yogi and technical lead.
One of the first and most senior Iyengar yoga instructors in the U.S., Victor is also one of the few instructors to be personally trained and certified by B.K.S. Iyengar, founder of the Iyengar yoga approach. Widely respected in the yoga community, Victor has personal relationships with many of the most well-known and well-respected personalities in the world of yoga. Victor has taught yoga courses throughout the U.S. and in Europe, was a founding member of the BKS Iyengar Association of the United States, chaired its Ethics Committee, and serves as the President of the Iyengar Association of Massachusetts. Victor has also sat on a number of yoga teacher certification committees in venues throughout the U.S.
Victor spent many years as the president of Cambridge Computer Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has an extensive background as a computer executive, software and system designer, programmer, and strategic consultant. Victor taught computer science at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has lectured extensively both in the U.S. and abroad on computer science related topics. Victor formerly chaired the greater Boston chapter of The Association of Computing Machinery, and sits on the boards of directors of a number of companies in the computer science field.
