Here is the background of some of the characters you will meet in the Cainor Trilogy.  Please bear with me as more may be added as I progress with the story.

Gazma

Gazma is the hero of the story.  He is about seventeen years of age.  He is training to become a Celtarn.  Although he has not yet been initiated, he is very close to becoming so.  Right now, however, he is still only a Geltra.  He is extremely proficient with both a broadsword and a rapier (He should be, after all, he has been training for the past twelve years).  He frequently accompanies his father Belgarn on missions given to them by the Celtarn.  He trains with his brother Gazmal.

Gazmal

The brother of Gazma.  He is about fifteen, and also training to become a Celtarn, though he is significantly farther away from being initiated.  Although he has been training two years less than Gazma, he is almost as skilled with his weapons.  He is also much better with a lance on horseback than Gazma is.

Belgarn

Belgarn is the father of Gazma and Gazmal.  He is around forty years of age.  His wife died soon after giving birth to Gazmal, so he has raised the two brothers on his own for fifteen years.  He was initiated into the Celtarn at age seventeen.  Although he specializes in fighting orcs, he also frequently fights outlaws and highwaymen.

Bulf

Bulf is Gazma's cousin.  He is eighteen, and has just been initiated into the Celtarn.  He is a bit of a bully, and delights in having younger people follow him and look up to him.  When he injures on of Gazma's friends though, Gazma has no fears whatsoever about attacking Bulf and making him pay...

Ayren*

Ayren is the daughter of the blacksmith in the town of Perez.  She and Gazma meet and fall in love after Gazma rescues her from the hands of a cruel count...

King Lactemar

Lactemar is the King of Aidar.  Although he is not a warlord king, he has done well at keeping the Thargonite menace back.  His destruction may lie much closer to home than with Thargon...

Prince Trestar

Trestar is the son of King Lactemar.  Although Lactemar has been a kind father to him, he still nurses a grudge after his request for more power was denied.  How far he will go for revenge, no one can say...

Gamfal*

Gamfal is the Head Wizard of Aramia.  A wise man, and a powerful warrior, skilled in magic, he has dedicated his life to helping defend Aidar against her dreaded enemy Thargon.  He may have met his match when one of his own betrays the council and sets plans long contemplated in motion...

Melthan

Melthan was a wizard of great skill and power in Aramia - until he betrayed the council and fled.  Now he lives in the Marshes of AIthar in his fortress - Kahadred.
