MONDAY EVENINGSBetty is the Director of Yoga With Betty and Friends. She is a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. She has taught in the Baltimore Metropolitan area since 1997. Betty has studied in India with BKS, Geeta and Prashant Iyengar. She is a long time student of John Schumacher.

DATES: Monday, evenings, WHERE: YWBF Home Studio - Randallstown WHAT IS IT? A Hatha Yoga class taught in the Iyengar Tradition. It is open to all experienced Yoga students and those who have completed a level I yoga class, at least once, within the past 12 months. Hatha Yoga is the third limb of the classical Ashtanga Yoga system, and is considered to be ‘Yoga of the will”. The classes involves teaching students how to do Yoga in a way that will calm the mind as well as align and strengthen the body. The series of classes will increase the students’ knowledge of standing poses. Inverted, standing and seated twisting poses. Restorative asanas and Pranayama will be introduced. WHEN IS IT? Classes will be on Mondays at 7:15 pm – 9:00 pm. Dates: TBA;
Please be on time. The class is designed to have a short meditation period prior to the asana class. HOW MUCH? Classes are $11.00 multiplied times the number of the weeks in the session when payment is received on the last day of the current session. Cost of classes are $12.00 when paid after the last day of the current session. There is a 10% discount for seniors (65 years and older) when payment is received by the last day of the current session . Drop-In fee $15.00 per class. No discount when paid after the last day of the current session. WHAT TO WEAR?
