Free Yoga Routine β All Factors Taken Into Account
Yoga need not be expensive; with a little creativity and a bit of footwork, anyone can develop a free yoga routine to fit their needs. All that is really needed is a place to lie down.
Make sure the place you lie down on is clean, comfortable, and quiet. Have some type of padded cushion beneath you and wear comfortable clothing. Start by either sitting or lying. Take deep breaths to calm the mind and body. Once you feel tranquil, you are ready to begin.
People unfamiliar with yoga often associate it with stretching exercises only. Stretching is a wonderful exercise in itself, but it is not yoga. In addition to stretching, yoga is also about balance, proper breathing and meditation. A proper routine will combine all these elements.
Stretching exercises in your free yoga routine are limited only by your creativity. Try to include as many parts of your body as you can. Fingers, toes, eyes, and nose will all benefit from a good stretch. Itβs important you not overdo it. Be gentle and ease yourself into a pose. Done properly, you should never feel overly strained. A nice burning feeling is the goal. If possible, counter a pose with one in the opposite direction. A forward bend should be followed by a backward bend.
Poses are synchronized with breathing: gentle and consistent. Breathe continuously and never hold your breath; you should never be gasping for breath. Use your breathing as a metronome and time your poses with it. Enter a pose on an inhalation or exhalation, hold the pose for a predetermined number of breaths and come out of it on the opposite breath.
When creating a routine, consider your interests and physical abilities. Yoga is often thought of as a sedate, tranquil activity. If this is your interest, work to remain steadfast and calm by alternating periods of exertion with periods of calm. A popular, new style is highly energetic. Hot yoga is a fluid and dynamic style with choreographed poses being performed one after the other, leaving a person drenched in sweat. Here too, your breath should calm, continuous and set the rhythm.
Mindfulness is an important aspect of yoga. Distractions are to be cleared away before beginning. As you go through your routine, focus on your breathing. Calm the mind and feel your body getting healthy.
Yoga is free. You need no special equipment to do it. With a little imagination and a place to do it, you can begin your own free yoga routine right now.
