The basics of kundalini yoga

Kundalini yoga is one of the most powerful forms of yoga that you can find in the world today. Most styles of yoga focus on breathing and meditation, whereas this form goes a little further by ensuring that you use other technique to help release excess energy within the body.

When one enrolls in classes of this yoga, what you will have to do is try to ensure that you use all the energy that you have to ensure that you get maximal results. This is done through a combination of different forms of exercise that include poses, chanting, and meditation sessions.

Lotus pose is one of the most popular postures in Kundalini Yoga; it is easy and opens the body to progression. This pose will requires the student to lift the left foot and place it on top of the right foot and make it to be as close as possible to the hips. 

In this pose you will be required go into deep meditation and always be sure to keep the right foot on top. Another great pose is the cat cow pose that helps you clear any problems you may have in the diaphragm and also in the stomach. This is done by staying in a cow form where you will use both your arms as well as the legs. Hold the floor while kneeling and start breathing in and bending you back upwards and moving your head towards the chest.

When exhaling, move your body slowly downward so that your abdomen can reach the floor. Then return to the original position to where it was. This should be done up to four times before moving to the next pose. There are other poses available in this yoga and the benefits that you will get from practicing this yoga are just as many. Therefore you should always find a place where you can do Kundalini yoga so that you can meet your fitness goals and achieve a balanced mind.
