A Few Moves to Use for Yoga Facial Exercises
You often see yoga exercises for the back, hips, and other parts of the body, but you don’t often hear much about the face. The truth is that there are many yoga facial exercises that you could be using. These are used to improve the appearance of your face by stretching and restoring elasticity to the skin. Here are just a few of the most popular exercises that you could be using to improve your facial appearance.
The Sphinx Smile is the first of the yoga facial exercises to use. You have to lift the corner parts of your mouth up and in a parallel fashion. The eyes must stay in a neutral position. This is used to keep smile lines from being visible.
The Puppet Face exercise is an exercise that involves your hands to support the face. You can smile and then use the fingers to move into the creases around the nose and lips. This has to be done to add some resistance to the facial muscles so the area can be healthy and strong.
The Fish pose is a move where you suck your cheeks in to make a “puckering” expression while the lips are held tight. You have to attempt to smile in this part of the exercise. You should be holding this for a few seconds to keep the muscles around the area tight enough to where the tension of your lips will keep them healthy.
This exercise can be followed up by tightening all muscles around the face and neck and by then locking your lips up together as you breathe out of your nose. You must hold this for about ten seconds before you can release. This can be done a few times in an exercise routine.
The Baby Bird exercise is the last choice. This is where you tilt your head back and place the tongue on the top of your mouth. You can tilt the head to one side and swallow and then do the same on the other side. This can work a few times in each direction to support the jaw and neck along with the sides of the face.
