Getting Ready for a Naked Yoga: Smoothie Recipes

If you have never done a naked yoga class before but have considered it, you have probably thought about some of the following things: will people be staring at me? Will I be staring at others? Will my instructor adjust me during poses? Should I do some manicuring first? The thought of naked yoga is certainly intimidating at first. To give you the confident edge you’ve been looking for, consider trimming down your diet before starting.

A diet of different juice drinks and smoothies will cut any extra jiggle before this big day. Not only will you enter the class leaner, you will detoxify the systems of your body and be filled with great nutrition. The following recipes are all vegan and include the incredible yoga super foods: chia seeds, raw cacao powder, and spirulina. Here are a few recipes in the days leading up to your first naked yoga experience.

Tropical Chia Smoothie

¾ cup coconut milk, unsweetened (not the canned kind but the variety that can be found next to the soy milk)
1 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
1 cup mango chunks, frozen
1 banana
1 tbsp chia seeds

Pour coconut milk, mango, pineapple, and banana into a blender and mix until smooth. Pour in chia seeds and blend shortly, just until mixed in.
